Until we open
Still under construction.
This is the room at Küchlin right now: plastic sheeting, paint, a lot of work. On 5 November we put on the first record.

01About Sonore
A room for listening.
Sonore is a place to leave the digital world at the door. Put your phone away and hear music the way it was meant to be heard: on vinyl, through a system that carries every detail. Add a good drink and people to share the time with. On the first floor of the historic Küchlin, right in the heart of Basel.
- 01
Music.
We play records whole, from the first groove to the last.
- 02
Quality.
A sound system that adds nothing and leaves nothing out.
- 03
Time.
An evening can last as long as the music carries it.
- 04
Presence.
Phone off, attention on: for the music and the people beside you.
·Sound and bar
Two systems. One room.
Early in the evening you hear records through Cabasse and valves, calm and full of detail. Later the KV2 Audio club system takes over, with weight and without distortion.
- Speakers
Cabasse
For listening, open and warm.
- Amplifier
Valve amplifier
Coming in the near future.
- Turntables
Technics SL-1210 MK5
Two turntables, fully analogue.
- Mixer
Rotary mixer
For smooth transitions between records.
- Club system
KV2 Audio
For the later hours.
At the bar
Drinks with a story.
Our signature drinks change with the season. Some tell of music legends and the drinks that belong to them.

Sonore Listening

A guest brings their records and tells us what ties them to this music. We play them, listen together and talk about it.
Depending on the guest, the evening happens in the bar or on the big stage of Saal 1.
- 01One guest, their records, their story.
- 02In the bar or on the stage of Saal 1.
- 03Recorded as a podcast, in audio and video.
